Brandl Anderson Homes Sponsors Halloween Housewarming Party!
The Ross family recently invited their family and friends to see their brand new home in Lonsdale, where they have lived for only a few short months. Brandl Anderson Homes sponsored the house warming party as a new outreach program. “When customers close on their new home they are excited for their friends and family to see it. This is one way we can help our customers accomplish that goal,” says sales manager, Scott Ervin.
The party was held the last weekend of October, so a Halloween theme was very appropriate. Guests had fun dressing up for the holiday, and were very creative. Guests enjoyed a meal, playing cards, and of course touring the Ross home.
“Thanks to Brandl Anderson Homes my family has our dream home. When I come home I still have the awe factor,” stated homeowner Brandi Ross.

It’s a Great Time to Buy
In the boom years of 2004-2005, sellers held a winning hand over buyers – They could dictate prices and terms to multiple bidders who were lining up at their doors. Today, buyers are holding all the aces. The economy is solid and job creation is strong – which bodes well for future house price appreciation.
Mortgage interest rates are still very affordable and remain near historic lows at around 6.5 percent. A wide range of financing options is available for consumers in all price ranges. Brandl Anderson Homes has worked very hard to offer attractive mortgages to our customers.
Timing the Market is a Game You Can’t Win
All the market fundamentals show that now is a good time to buy a home. Potential home buyers who try to “time the market” in hopes of buying at the trough are likely to lose out. Here’s why.
- Just as no one can accurately predict the peaks and valleys of the stock market, the same holds true for housing.
- Fence-sitters waiting for the absolute best deal could end up literally waiting for years, and most likely their guess on market timing would be wrong. Meanwhile, those who buy now will reap the gains of home price appreciation.
- For example, those who purchased homes in the early 1990s during the last big economic and housing downturn came out as big winners. The median price of a new home in 1991 was $120,000. In 2005, it was $240,900 – just over double in price.
Featured Neighborhood: Shadow Stone in Lonsdale
Lonsdale is quickly changing as added conveniences are being built in the once sleepy town. New residents are sitting up and taking notice to the new retail stores and services that are popping up all over town. The population has nearly doubled since the 2000 census, and businesses have responded!
For almost a full year now Lonsdale has been home to a new medical clinic and first major grocery store, Fred’s IGA.
The growth has continued to attract more businesses and services including a new school, a pizza manufacturing company, and churches.
Brandl Anderson Homes builds new homes in a Lonsdale neighborhood called
Shadow Stone. The neighborhood is conveniently located off of Highway 19, and is right next to the new grocery store. Home sites are large and some back up to heavily wooded areas, making for a breath taking view.
Current homeowners at
Shadow Stone
say they made the move to Lonsdale to be closer to family, to get out of the rent rut or because they needed a larger home. They are willing to live a little further out in exchange for a smaller mortgage payment and the peace and tranquility of a small town.
