Taking place throughout March, the Spring Parade of Homes showcases 472 new homes from nearly all Twin Cities-area homebuilders.
Brandl Anderson is a long-standing participant in Parade of Homes, each year having the opportunity to help many families find their forever home. This spring, Brandl Anderson is showcasing five homes with distinct floor plans.
A new floor plan to the Brandl Anderson portfolio, the Jasper is developed with affordability and functionality in mind. The home features a unique tri-level layout, four bedrooms, and three bathrooms and considerable 2,847 square feet. Patty Gohman, a Realtor for Brandl Anderson, has been showing the Jasper during the Parade of Homes and provided a walkthrough to highlight the floor plan’s features and unique benefits to families.
You can experience the Jasper’s openness immediately in its large entryway. With other floor plans, like split-levels, entryways feel cramped, and people are forced to commit to up or down. The Jasper turns this space into a comfortable place to enter the home.
The lower level of the Jasper features warm characteristics, like a large family room, a corner fireplace and a flex room perfect for play space or an office. The level also features a full bath and large bedroom ideal for guests. The large bedroom size is a calling card of sorts for Brandl Anderson.
“In general, builders will often create a large master suite and tiny bedrooms, said Gohman. “We like to even that out.”
On the functional side, no matter what the weather throws at the Jasper (or any Brandl Anderson home), families never have to worry about a wet basement.
“We include a sump basket with a pump in all of our homes,” said Gohman. “This, along with Watchdog Waterproofing™ ensures that all our homes have nice dry basements.”
The main level of the Jasper offers an open concept featuring a large living room, dining room, and walk out for a future deck. The open kitchen features a double-sized center island, new Frigidaire appliances (available in black, white or stainless steel), electric range and quartz countertops. The large master suite also resides on the main level, just a short walk from the kitchen. It features a walk-in closet and three-quarter bathroom with dual sinks.
The Jasper’s unique feature is close to the master suite. The third level bedrooms and full bath are a small set of steps up from the suite.
“What’s beneficial about this layout is that the kids can have their area, but it’s only steps away,” said Gohman. “This can be especially helpful for families with a newborn or toddler because they can be very close, without technically being attached to the master.”
This feature helps families grow into the Jasper. Other split-level floor plans feature two bedrooms up and two down. This layout typically does not work well with young families.
“Keeping three bedrooms together on a split is just a much smarter buy,” said Gohman.
Benefiting from Parade of Homes
When embarking on the journey to buy their next home, families can take advantage of certain benefits that Brandl Anderson homes can offer. The Parade of Homes serves as a great introduction to these homes and benefits.
Through Brandl Anderson’s Preferred Lender Program families can have access to $5,500 of closing costs. The program also features a finished basement and a landscape package that includes 800 yards of sod and two trees. All benefits that quickly turn a house into a home.
All Brandl Anderson properties are also Green Path certified. Launched by the Builder’s Association of the Twin Cities in 2011, Minnesota’s Green Path provides builders with a realistic approach to building energy efficient, sustainable, “green” homes. In 2018, Brandl Anderson received the Green Path Award, securing the best HERS scores for energy efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, and areas of green construction, including water conservation, resource management, and development.
“We’re cautious about making sure a home’s heating, cooling, and overall energy use is efficient as it can be,” said Gohman. “When things are done right, it’s a huge money saving for the life of the house.”
Families can tour the Jasper, and any one of Brandl Anderson’s homes, on the Parade of Homes Thursday-Sunday until March 31.
