Birch is a smooth, even grained hardwood that is predominantly off-white with some red and brown variation giving it a calico appearance. Birch cabinets with a wiping stain will not be consistent in color. The ends of the stiles and the cross grain profile in the raised panel will be much darker than the rest of the door. In addition, the face frame, doors, and drawer fronts can vary in color. This is not considered a defect but desired by those wanting a "rustic" look.
Choose from 3 Different Cabinet Door Styles for Single-Family Homes:
2-1/2" stiles and rails with a bead inside profile, 950 edge, flat panel
2-1/2" stiles and rails with a bead inside profile, shaker edge, flat panel
2-1/2" stiles and rails with bevel shaker inside profile, shaker edge, flat panel
