We asked Brandl Anderson customers to share with us their favorite holiday recipes. Pull out your aprons, rolls up your sleeves and enjoy these delicious sweet treats.
Betty Crocker’s Thumbprint Cookies
- ½ cup butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 egg yolk
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- Jelly or tinted confectioners’ sugar icing
Heat oven to 350. Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour and salt and blend together. Stir into mixture. Roll into balls (1 tsp per ball). Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Press thumb gently in center of each. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool. Fill thumbprints with jelly or tinted icing. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
Mini Dutch Baby Pancakes
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 6 large eggs
- dash of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ cup butter, melted
Preheat the oven to 400. Grease 24 cups in a standard muffin tin with cooking spray.
Combine First 5 ingredients in a blender. Blend until completely smooth, scraping down sides of blender as needed. Add melted butter and blend about 30 seconds more. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin cups. Cups will be a little less than half full. Bake in the oven for 13-15 minutes until puffy and golden. Pancakes will settle into cups when removed from the oven. Fill with your favorite toppings Fruit, jelly, syrup and dust with powdered sugar
